Retreat: Prophet of Fire - Series 1

The TOC communities from Bulacan, Cubao, and Project 4 congregated at the Claret Retreat House, Cenacle Drive, Sanville Subdivision, Culiat, Quezon City. This was held on July 23 -25. The theme of the retreat is based on the book "Prophet of Fire" which is divided into a series of retreats. The retreat was facilitated by the provincial delegate, Rev. Fr. Noel Rosas, O.Carm. The retreat will be given again by the last quarter of the year for the remaining TOC communities.

18th Carmelite Family Day

On July 18, the entire Carmelite Family congregated at the gymnasium of the United Laboratories, Inc. at Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong to celebrate the 18th Carmelite Family Day. The theme of the gathering was "Carm-el Family Philippines @ 18: A Celebration of Unity." Rev. Fr. Paul Medina, OCarm was invited as homilist since he was the one who started the gathering of the Carmelite Family 18 years ago. The event started with the enthronement of the image of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Fr.Narciso Reyes, OCD, then some presentations by the member of the Carmelite Family. After the presentations, lunch was served through potluck to the members present.

July 16 Celebration: Immaculate Conception TOC Community, Sta. Cruz, Laguna


The Immaculate Conception TOC community of Sta. Cruz, Laguna started the Novena in honor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on July 7, 2010. On July 13, they went to the Sta Cruz Municipal Jail together with Rev. Fr. Frederick Villareal and some members of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate. They celebrated the Mass and imposed the Brown Scapular to the inmates. Sis. Mercy Rana gave the introduction about the Brown Scapular to the inmates. After the Mass, the community provided Sopas and juice for them.


On the day of the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel the communty held a Solemn Procession after the six o'clock mass. They imposed the Brown Scapular to the people who celebrated the mass with them. Rev. Fr. Rico De Luna, the parish priest gave the talk about Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Brown Scapular.
