The TOC Community of Immaculate Conception Sta. Cruz, Laguna held their chapter elections last November 27. The election was supervised by Sis. Mila Exconde, TOCarm and Bro. Louie Barrientos, TOCarm of the Regional Council.

Advent Recollection of the TOC Province of St. Joseph
The 8 communities of the TOC Province of St. Joseph made their advent recollection at the ICSB Hall, Malolos, Bulacan. The room was filled by TOC members coming as far from Pampanga. The recollection was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Adrian Layug. The topic focused on the parts of the Mass and its meaning to the life of the Carmelites. After the recollection, the Rite of Reception and Temporary Profession was administered to some of the members. The Acceptance of Aspirants was also held after the Holy Mass.

JPIC: Prison Awareness Sunday
The Immaculate Conception TOC Community of Sta. Cruz, Laguna joined the celebration of the Prison Awareness Week (Oct. 24 -30) by visiting the local community jail. Visitation of the inmates has been one of the apostolate activities of the TOC community in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. The following are some snap shots of the event.

National Congress of TOC Formators
In celebration of the Formation Year, 39 Formators from all over the Philippines met in Manila from Oct. 15 – 17 to discuss about formation and the need of transformation within the Order. Different topics were presented by the provincial delegate and the national formation team. These are: Conversion (presented by Louis Barrientos, TOCarm), Community Life (Ruel Santos, TOCarm), The Role of Formators and Care for Formators (Rev. Fr. Noel Rosas, OCarm), Interior Castle and Transformation (Bing Velarde, TOCarm), and the Carmelite Saints on Conversion (Rossana Garcia, TOCarm). It is being planned to have a regular national congress for formators to strengthen formators and prepare would be formators.

Reception to the Novitiate: Bl. Maria Sagrario of St. Aloysius Gonzaga TOC Community
On October 2, the members of the Bl. Maria Sagrario of St. Aloysius Gonzaga TOC Community was formally accepted to the novitiate. The rites were done at the Parish of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, San Luis, Pampanga. The reception rites was administered by Fr. Adrian Layug, TOCarm. The event was attended by the different TOC communities from Bulacan. This community is a foundation by the Bulacan Tertiaries as a gift for the 25 years of existence in Bulacan. The parish priest of San Luis was also accepted to the Novitiate.
