Region of St. John of the Cross - Provincial Retreat

On September 10 - 12, 2010, the TOC Province of St. John of the Cross held their retreat at Las Pinas City. The three communities of Pilar, Las Pinas; Bacoor, Cavite; and Sta. Cruz, Laguna attended the said activity. The retreat was given by Rev. Fr. Paul Medina, OCarm and the topic of the retreat was about the Old Testament Prophets and the Prophetic Role of the TOC.

Region of St. Joseph - Provincial Retreat

On September 17 - 19, the Lay Carmelite Province of St. Joseph conducted a retreat especially for the postulants preparing for their acceptance to the novitiate. Aspirants and postulants of the TOC communities of Guiguinto, Malolos, Alido, and Pampanga came to the Bukal ng Buhay Retreat House, Bo. Malamig, Bustos for this retreat. It was conducted by Rev. Fr. Rhen Caculitan, OCarm, National Vocation Director of the OCarm. The theme was the Rule of St. Albert and the Dark Night. The retreat started with a mass and talks were interpersed with silent prayer and in the evening a Holy Hour is being made. After the retreat the postulants of Pampanga were interviewed in preparation for the Novitiate rites that will be given on October 2.

Regional Retreat: Province of St. Therese of the Child Jesus (Bicol)

The Lay Carmelite Province of St. Therese of the Child Jesus (Bicol) held their annual retreat from August 27, 2010 (Feast of St. Monica) to August 29, 2010 (Feast of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist). The retreat theme was "Seasons of the Heart" and was facilitated by Bro. Ruel Santos, TOC. The retreat was held at St. Gregory the Great Minor Seminary, Tabaco City, Albay. On August 27, Sis. Sonia Rosario, TOC and Sis. Anida Bilono, TOC fetched Bro. Ruel Santos at the Legazpi airport. Before going to the retreat venue, they made a side trip to the Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Malilipot, Albay.

The retreat started on the afternoon of August 27 and was participated in by the communities of Guinobatan and Malilipot. The retreatants joined the seminary community on the celebration of the Holy Mass and on the end of the retreat, the profession and reception rites for the Malilipot community was held at the seminary chapel. The closing Mass was celebrated by Msgr. Don Vito Pavilando, parish priest of  Malilipot, together with Rev. Fr. Salvador Nicolas Bilono III, seminary rector. After the retreat and the rites, a sumptuous lunch was served.

Retreat: Prophet of Fire - Series 1

The TOC communities from Bulacan, Cubao, and Project 4 congregated at the Claret Retreat House, Cenacle Drive, Sanville Subdivision, Culiat, Quezon City. This was held on July 23 -25. The theme of the retreat is based on the book "Prophet of Fire" which is divided into a series of retreats. The retreat was facilitated by the provincial delegate, Rev. Fr. Noel Rosas, O.Carm. The retreat will be given again by the last quarter of the year for the remaining TOC communities.
