I noticed there is a picture of distribution of holy communion by self-intinction. Is this the normal or usual practice of your community? May I be enlightened on the liturgical basis for doing so? I've read in Redemptionis Sacramentum that this may not be so. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you for whatever information you may share with me.

God bless!!!

I think the pertinent paragraph of Redemptionis Sacramentum is par. 94. I may have misapprehended it.

No. This is not. This was the first time that the reception of communion was done as I observed in the previous recollections I arranged in the different communities. As for the liturgical basis, I don't know the reason why the recollection master opted to choose this manner.

Yes, it is paragraph 94 of Redemptionis Sacramentum that speak of againts this manner of distrubution.
